Island Martial Arts was established in 1995 by Grand Master Sal Comito. In January of 2006, it was taken over by Master Pete Paramithis. Master Pete has been training in various forms of martial arts for over 30 years. Island Martial Arts has a primary focus on the art, as well as the sport, of Tae Kwon Do. No matter what age or experience level you are, Master Pete and his instructors would be more than happy to impart their knowledge on you.

Master Pete has owned Island Martial Arts for 3 years. He has been training for 32 years in other forms of martial arts.

4th Dan Blackbelt

Master Joe has been training for 20 years. He is also a gym teacher and stresses the "school" phase.
Sir R.J. Boyle

Sir R.J. has been training for 15 years and is an original student of Island Martial Arts. He is the former captain of the Demo Team, as he currently schools in Boston.
Sir Orlando Molina

Sir Orlando has been training for 15 years. Former captain of the Demo Team, Sir Orlando has returned to occasionally teaching at Island Martial Arts. He now works full time with ConEd.

Sir Ray has been training for 12 years. He also fights in kickboxing and grappling competitions.

Sir Steve has been training for 11 years. He is the captain of the Demo Team.

Sir Frankie is a 2nd Degree instructor who has been training for 7 years. He is the assistant captain of the demo team.

Christine started out as a student of our martial arts and cardio classes 3 years ago. She quickly became an enthusiastic and motivating instructor.

Women's Cardio Instructor

Lana started out as nothing more than a parent of our school. She quickly rose up to becoming an integral staff member and is now even teaching some of our Women's classes.
